Google’s Next Release
Google is moving towards a more secure web experience for all users, this push will require all website owners to set up an SSL Certificate on their website to protect sensitive information from being compromised.
From July, any websites that don’t have an SSL Certificate will be:
- Marked as non-secure in the Google browser
- Penalised in website search rankings
What is SSL?
SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encrypts information e.g. credit card, login, and online enquiries as it is sent between the end user (user’s computer) and the server (your website); preventing hackers getting hold of the sensitive information.
Take action now!
An SSL Certificate is $200 once off and $6.25 ex GST per month, this includes annual renewals and installation.
