About Easy Cars
EasyCars was first released in 1983. It started from a salesmen’s (Allan Jeal) frustration with data duplication on finance contracts. What started out to be a simple solution to a simple problem became an exciting and continuous re-invention of “The car yard”. After a year or two, the concept of computers in car yards began to catch on. Car dealers began asking for the famous Jeal Software to solve all their woes… EasyCars from Jeal Computer Services was borne.
The original software was written in MS DOS and catered for many simple requirements of the average car yard. Once Windows took hold of the IT industry, EasyCars was reborn with a far more exiting batch of features and in the then latest Windows technology. Allan’s son Michael joined the Company to help with the transition of DOS to Windows.
The philosophy behind EasyCars has always been “easy to use”. Even the accounting module that was introduced in 2000 had the complexity in the background but the simplistic user view point in the foreground. It made recording and reporting on Notional Input credits and Floor Plan specific to the motor industry, childs play. The beauty of EasyCars is the one entry does all philosophy. You enter the vehicle and the purchaser once and all your forms etc are automatically chosen for you. EasyCars has maintained Government legislative forms, police book / dealings register etc etc over the years. This ensures a high regard with Government Departments in the Industry.
One of the EasyCars objectives over the last few years is to link necessity suppliers to the motor industry through EasyCars. The car dealer dramatically reduces the time it takes to do time consuming tasks and reduces the cost to do the tasks. Examples of this working include the advertising button. The information is already in EasyCars, so the extra step to send vehicles to the advertisers is virtually nil. The cost is included in your support so stop paying a 3rd party up-loader. Another example is the Veda report and the Transport quote system within EasyCars. All designed to save time and money.
Today Jeal Computer Services is run by brother and sister team, Michael and Jullie.
